LEADERSHIP & ORIGINS

Vision, foundation and institutional continuity

The World Ju-Jitsu Corporation (WJJC) was founded on a clear vision aimed at establishing an internationally recognizable reference for Kishidō Ju-Jitsu. The organization originates from the initiative of its Founder and Sōke, Adriano Busà, whose more than 45 years of experience in the martial arts world shaped the principles, direction and identity of the institution. Through this vision, the WJJC promotes the preservation of tradition while supporting responsible evolution within an international institutional context.

FOUNDING VISION
The Original Vision

The founding vision of the WJJC sought to move beyond informal transmission and fragmented interpretations. Its purpose was to establish a clear institutional reference capable of preserving the principles of Kishidō Ju-Jitsu while guiding its responsible development over time. This vision continues to inspire the direction and identity of the WJJC today.

ROLE OF THE FOUNDER
Origin of the Technical Vision

The founder of the WJJC, Sōke Adriano Busà, defined the original vision, principles and technical direction of the organization. His role represents the point of origin from which the institutional identity of the WJJC developed. As Sōke, he is recognized as the custodian of the technical vision and the origin of the tradition transmitted within the organization.

LEADERSHIP AS RESPONSIBILITY
Leadership and Institutional Responsibility

Within the WJJC, leadership is understood as responsibility rather than hierarchy. It involves guiding the development of the discipline, maintaining coherence in its transmission and protecting the integrity of Kishidō Ju-Jitsu. Through responsible leadership, the WJJC ensures continuity, credibility and unity across its international presence.

FROM ORIGINS TO INSTITUTIONAL CONTINUITY
Continuity Beyond Individuals

Although the WJJC originates from a defined vision, the organization continues through institutional continuity rather than personal authority. Shared principles, technical direction and international cooperation ensure that the discipline remains consistent across generations and countries. In this way, the WJJC preserves its origins while continuing to develop responsibly.

WHAT LEADERSHIP & ORIGINS IS NOT
Clarifying the InstitutionalMeaning

Leadership and origins within the WJJC do not imply personal ownership, informal authority or self-appointed roles. They represent the starting point of an institutional vision guided by defined principles and responsible leadership. Those who wish to understand the origins of the organization and the role of the Sōke may continue to the next section.
