KISHIDŌ SYSTEM

The Way of the Knight — energy, discipline and modern effectiveness

The Kishidō System represents the martial system developed and preserved within the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation (WJJC). Kishidō means “The Way of the Knight” and expresses a path of discipline, responsibility and conscious strength. This meaning is symbolically reflected in the WJJC emblem, inspired by the image of Saint George defeating the dragon — the victory of order, control and virtue over chaos.

A MARTIAL SYSTEM AND A MARTIAL MINDSET

The Kishidō System is not limited to technical practice alone. It represents a disciplined martial mindset in which effectiveness is guided by control, awareness and ethical conduct. Strength without discipline has no direction. Discipline gives strength its purpose.

ENERGY AS THE FOUNDATION

Within the Kishidō System, energy is the foundation of effective action. Speed and precision are not trained as isolated attributes. They arise naturally from correct energy management, body coordination and focused intent.

  • Energy generates speed.

  • Speed allows precision.

  • Precision defines effectiveness.

TECHNICAL FOUNDATIONS

The technical foundation of the Kishidō System is based on ten core movements known as Basic Techniques (BT). These techniques form the essential reference points from which the technical development of the system grows.

THE ROLE OF THE BASIC TECHNIQUES (BT)

The ten Basic Techniques (BT) educate the practitioner in the correct generation and direction of energy. Through their practice, energy becomes controlled and efficient, allowing speed and precision to emerge naturally without tension or excessive force. The BT serve as the technical reference that supports all advanced applications and training methods within the system.

A PROGRESSIVE SYLLABUS

The Kishidō syllabus follows a progressive path of learning with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility. Training evolves gradually while remaining anchored to the principles of traditional budō. The program is periodically updated to maintain effectiveness in modern personal defense while preserving the martial identity of the system.

MODERN EFFECTIVENESS WITH MARTIAL DISCIPLINE

Although modern in application, the Kishidō System maintains strong martial discipline.

Training emphasizes:

  • energy

  • timing

  • precision

  • responsibility

Technique is never separated from mindset, control and ethical conduct.

KISHIDŌ JU-JITSU

Kishidō Ju-Jitsu represents the primary martial expression of the Kishidō System. Rooted in traditional Ju-Jitsu, it embodies the principles of energy, speed and precision while maintaining discipline, control and responsibility.

THE ROLE OF THE WJJC

The World Ju-Jitsu Corporation (WJJC) safeguards the integrity and continuity of the Kishidō System through education, technical standards and institutional responsibility. This ensures coherence in the transmission of the discipline across different countries while supporting responsible growth and individual development.
