7 Wjjc European Commission accreditation

The World Ju-Jitsu Corporation is proud to announce that on the 16th of February 2016, in the person of its founder Adriano Busà and a delegation of Black Belts, was in Bruxelles at the Visitor's Centre of the European Commission, in order to attend the course on the EU's Role and the “European Qualification Framework – EQF”, run by Prof. Giovanni Gordiani as a speaker.

The course was aimed at confirming the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation – which had already received accreditation during the European Week of Sport at the event EurEthics Sport for All – within the European Framework for Qualifications, according to EurEthics principles.

EurEthics' certification methods comply with the European Qualification Framework as well as with the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons (ISO 17024 Licensed to Eurethics Training Academy Number: OP-22926 of the 19/08/2014), which regulates personal professional competences, in this case as a sport educator (Educator through Sport).

On this occasion, Shodai Soke Adriano Busà, was given the title of Professor (Head Master-Academy Professor) in recognition of his international professionalism in Ju-Jitsu. One month later Shodai Soke Adriano Busà was given in Florence the 8th Level EQF Certificate, the highest grade in the Professional Register Education through Sport Instructors Association - ETSIA, registered as European Qualification Framework (Eurethics/Etsia) and National in Italy Endas/PAS (professionisti associati sportivi).

This way the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation has entered into the history of sport as the first organization in the Ju-Jitsu sector receiving mandate from EurEthics/ETSIA to issue certifications “Sport Educator” for the both the Ju-Jitsu and Professional Self defense sectors, according to the National Framework of Qualifications and according to the EQF, reference framework in Europe and Internationally, in compliance with the recommendation of the European Parliament and the Council of 23 April 2008.

The symbol of the WJJC is Saint George killing the dragon with his spear (Cappadocia, circa 275 – 285 a.d. - Nicomedia 303). Saint George was the brave knight who challenged the horrible dragon and, in the end, pierced him through with his spear. The Saint is associated with honor, bravery, gallantry and generosity.
George was a shining, fearless knight who lived in the 3rd century a.d. in Cappadocia, an area which is now part of Turkey. His bravery was demonstrated by aiding others.

One such story goes like this......in those days, a ferocious dragon lived in a big lake. The dragon had been terrorizing the sorrounding towns and, every day the people would feed the dragon a sheep to appease it. When the sheep were all eaten, the dragon demanded that the people sacrifice one young maiden to him each day instead. One by one, the young girls were killed until, in the end, only the King of Egypt's daughter was left. Unless a knight could be found to slay the dragon, the princess would be sacrificed the next day.

The King tried to bargain his way out of it, but the town's people declared that she should be delivered over to the dragon just as many of their children had been. So, the King dressed his daughter as if she were to be wed, embraced her, kissed her, gave her his blessing, and led her to were the dragon was.

George, who was passing by, asked the daughter what was happening. She told him about the dragon and begged him to leave before it appeared and killed him too.
The knight said to the princess:”Fair daughter, do not doubt, I will help you. Good knight, go your way and abide not with me, because you may not deliver me”.

While they were speking, the dragon appeared and rushed them. The dragon was huge and its roar sounded like thunder, but St. George was not afraid. He maunted his horse, drew out his sword and rode hard against the dragon. But the dragon charged him, smote him and hurt him sore and threw him to the ground.
St. George did not give up. Instead, he rushed the dragon and used his sword to pierce it under its wing where the dragon was vulnerable because there were no scales. The dragon fell dead under St. George's feet.
The King of Egypt's daughter was rescued.

George was just as fearless on the day of his cruel martydom. In the year 302, Diocletian issued an edict that every soldier in the army should offer sacrifices to the Roman gods. As a consequence of refusing to burn incense to the gods, the imperor had him arrested. Diocletian, not wanting to lose one of his best tribunes, attempted to offer George gifts of land, money and slaves if he would make sacrifices to the Roman gods. George never accepted the offer. The Emperor executed him for his refusal to obey the edict. Before the execution, George gave his wealth to the poor and prepared himself to die.
Not only did George himself not submit to the orders, but he gave the other prisoners great courage by his exmple.

Soke Adriano Busa Founder and InternationalTechnical Director of the World Ju Jitsu Corporation Wjjc Jiu Jitsu

Shodai Soke Adriano Busà is the founder and international technical director of World Ju-Jitsu Corporation. The Ju-Jitsu style he has codified is “Kishido” - 騎士 道 (The way of the Knight).

He manifested his passion for martial arts at a very early age when, because he was enthrolled by martial arts movies of the time, after his homework  he would spend his days punching and kicking all over his house imitating his favourite heroes.

He had his first martial experience in the late 1976 when an old master who was a family friend, in a mix of game and tricks, passed on him the first rudiments of Judo. In 1977 he made a rudimentary Nunchaku with two rectangular wood logs and two nails found in his father’s company and broke a window in his house, to his mother’s joy.

Despite his mother’s opposition, he goes on with this bizarre training after school. In 1981 Adriano enrolled in a Dojo for the first time to practice Judo with a real Sensei and wore his first Jodogi, something he had so lusted for.

He keeps practicing Judo for some  years until the first regional competition and he achieves the blue belt in Judo. This experience with Judo drew him near to the tatami, though it would never totally satisfy him. As a matter of fact, in the late 1985 he changed completely and started practicing boxe, which he taught was more fit for his temperament. However, not even this sport satisfied him completely.

He went on searching for such a discipline that would complete and unable him to express himself  at his best . After brief experiences in some other martial arts, once he was dazzled by a Ju-Jitsu lesson being hold in the gym he attended to keep fit and decided to take a trial lesson at once.

He was surprised by finding that Ju-Jitsu includes all in itself and how much his past experiences were both useful and precious. He realized at once this was what he had always been looking for and he’d finally found it.

This extraordinary Japanese martial art would later become his great passion. He began training very hard with hunger for knowledge. It is because of this inner fire and hard work that he reached important goals in the federation of that time.

Meanwhile, he matured as both a technician and a Sensei and little by little became a benchmark to several students who chose to follow him. In the couse of time, he came into contact with an instructor from the Special Forces and perfected himself in the field of professional self defense.

At a later time he established a company dealing with professional training for police and military. Besides carrying forward his great passion for Ju-Jitsu, this agency was the only company in Italy with UNI EN ISO 9001 quality certification and accreditation from Tuscany Region.

In 2014 he established the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation in London and thus began a new phase in both his life and martial career, always on the rise. Many groups, which learnt of his new organization, joined him since the very beginning, and many countries would join the WJJC project in laters years.

His philosophical vision lead him to organize the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation in such a way that everyone is given the opportunity to grow and improve while helping others to do the same as they follow the same principles. His philosophy is contained in the three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas’ famous motto: «All for one and one for all!» convinced of the importance of forging a group and making all members of the group feel proud.

Soke Adriano Busà is a true leader, one who never backs down, tireless, always ready for action, not only on the tatami. Not only is he always available for his direct students but also for all students of the Wjjc, especially for the youngest, indeed he has a very strong feeling of sympathy for them. He is a point of reference for many of them, ready to  listen to them, he establishes a deep relationship based on mutual respect and is good at providing both martial and personal advices and ideas.

Soke Adriano Busà technical skills are highly appreciated all over the world and allowed him to reinterpret traditional Ju-Jitsu and turn into “Kishidō” the Wjjc style, one that is both modern and effective and is based on precision and rapidity, while remaining firmly rooted in the traditional values of the Budo.

Today, Soke Adriano Busà with his charisma still keeps passing on his Ju-Jitsu style to anyone wishing to join the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation and who shares its values and gives  them the opportunity to become true professionals in Ju-Jitsu and to be part of a large innovative, modern and successful international organization.

Wjjc, Proud to be different!

Wjjc History Soke Adriano Busa Wjjc Wjjf Ju Jitsu

The World Ju-Jitsu Corporation is a result of its charismatic founder, Shodai Soke Adriano Busà, and his long experience.

This organization is a young corporation concerned with studying and propagating this sweet art among the five continents. We make ourselves, and our modern and effective methods, available to anyone wishing to deepen his knowledge of Ju-Jitsu.

The WJJC style is continually being up-dated.  We constantly study international urban dynamics so as to get our students prepared to face an ever-changing environment, without giving up the typical English traditional Ju-Jitsu roots. The in-depth study of knife and weapon defense techniques, stick use, multiple attacks defense techniques and grappling are only some aspects of the essential basis of our style.

The professional syllabus, which has been developed for Military and Police, is part of a high level training path taught using the typical values of the martial arts such as: honor, respect, discipline, sacrifice and loyalty.

Welcome to the international website of the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation

Our International Organization is entirely devoted to studying and developing both Ju-Jitsu, Kobudo and Fight Jitsu in the sports sector. The Wjjc is the result of several decades of experience in the Martial Arts, especially in Ju-Jitsu, of its founder Shodai Soke Adriano Busa. He is also an highly skilled professional in close combat techniques fo Police and Military. This is why, the WJJC has established STS (Special Training Service), a special department devoted to professional training.

Welcome into the Wjjc World!

The World of Wjjc Ju Jitsu Corporation Martial Art Federation

Reception of the World Ju Jitsu Centre Shodai Soke Adriano BusàOur corporation is based on four strong points that are the necessary indicators to achieve our mission: our founder, our history, our logo and our organization.

Our founder is the soul of the WJJC. As a consequence of his professional mentality, being obsessed about any technical details, the WJJC style is modern and effective. Such up-dated style has made our history and day by day writes a new chapter of our future. It is important for us to improve on what we do, as only through hard work and constant diligence higher skills can be acquired.

The WJJC logo represents St. George killing the dragon, which expresses all our dominant characteristics: power, honesty, loyalty, courage and dedication. Our logo is not simply a symbol of something but out and out a mark of identification, a way of being, a way of life. This is the World Ju-Jitsu Corporation, a way, a character, a brand, a future… a journey.

Welcome to everybody into the WJJC, the journey goes on.
